When it comes to the Monoi Oil of Parfumerie Tiki, the 99% main ingredient is coconut oil. Typically used as the base oil or carrier oil in aromatherapy, coconut oil does have a fragrance of its own.
The fragrance of highly refined cosmetic grade coconut oil is not sweet at all. It is not the counterpart of the coconut flavor that everyone knows so well. It is earthy and nutty and almost of a musky note. If one if familiar with the smell of copra on the way to market, the refined oil has a subtle version of this copra smell.
Monoi Coco is a unisex fragrance enjoyed by both men and women. A very small note of Tiare is included from the dried flower in the bottle.
